Yes this is a very common thing to be done, We have staff who are available to do night shifts allowing the shop/office to be operational during the day, this is effective in keeping the company ticking along reducing the lost of revenue during small renovations
In the past we have found that small installations and fit outs are best to be done with a complete closure of the shop/office space so the Ethereal Electrical team can smash out the work required. Although the space is un-operational for a certain amount of time, this time tends to have a smaller impact on the complete cost of the job as renovation costs are decreased and shop/office down time is decreased. We are happy to keep the commercial space in operation when completing renovations but this is usually a more expensive approach as the renovation time increases and the commercial space will not be in full operation until the work is complete. Large commercial spaces differ due to having more space for activities
